Nature is one of our greatest teachers

Our two purpose-built centres are eco-friendly and sustainability focussed with a strong connection to the great outdoors. We promote a sense of community and care – for each other and our incredible surroundings.

Mountain Ash, Frankton Centre

Our flagship centre was opened in December 2017. With views of Coronet Peak and our namesake – The Remarkables – this really is one of the most inspiring settings for an early learning centre. When it came to designing the building, our vision was to create an environment that connects Queenstown children to the great outdoors.

Positioned to receive natural warmth and light, and to make the most of the mountain views, the centre is designed to ‘bring the outside in’. Featuring a connecting deck and large sliding glass doors, we’ve created a space that effortlessly connects the learning space inside to the natural environment outside.

Jack’s Point Centre

We are so excited to open our second centre at Jack’s Point in March 2022! Designed by our same trusted development team - the sister centre has all of the great features we love best about the Mountain Ash, Frankton Centre. Slightly larger, the centre is beautifully light-filled and open plan, with cosy and secure spaces for each age group.

Also, perfectly located with views of the Remarkables, the centre easily opens out onto the deck and outdoor play area. Again, we have sourced (locally - wherever we can!) the best natural and up-to-date learning resources and equipment. The centre has ample parking and easy access for drop-off and pick-up.

Our Prepared Environment

Our commitment to nature and sustainability flows across into the materials in our prepared environments. We have sourced beautifully crafted, natural Montessori and conventional learning materials.

The learning spaces are beautifully presented with natural tones and textures creating a calm environment with the right amount of stimulation for the children. Our furniture and resources are child appropriate in size, giving the children a sense of belonging in their own space.

Sustainability Focus

As an eco-friendly centre, we integrate sustainability into our operation and education programme. The children learn about caring for nature throughout the programme including, composting and growing the raised edible gardens. To minimise our impact on the environment, we use natural materials and eco-friendly products wherever possible.
