And So the Story Begins...

As they start out on their journey with a wide-eyed sense of wonder, we guide your little trailblazers, equipping them with everything they need for a remarkable start.

Our Story

The first five years of your child’s life is when they’re most receptive. At Remarkable Start, we work in partnership with you as family and whanau to guide them through these all-important years, instilling a natural love for learning.

As a locally owned and operated independent group, we deliver high-quality Early Childhood Education in the Wakatipu region. Our programme is based on the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum; Te Whāriki, and we draw on the principles of Montessori. Our talented team of educators tailor their teaching approach, nurturing your child’s unique potential.

We engage your child’s curiosity and encourage their sense of adventure. Not losing sight of a child’s need to learn through play, we allow them to freely interact with nature and those around them. By facilitating engaging independent and group activities, our team help your child develop real-life, practical skills, emotional and social competence, and a sturdy moral compass, respecting self, others and their environment.

Our Guiding Principles

Nurture

Their unique potential

Preparing your child for school is unquestionably our priority. But it’s the other special differences that you’ll be sure to notice in them... heightened curiosity, a genuine love of learning, an air of independence and an awareness of the environment and those around them, including an appreciation and respect for the diversity of who they are and where in the world they live as partners of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Aotearoa, NZ.
